A 34-year-old man from Gorj chose to end his days in a shocking manner.
The young man tied himself to the parapets on the side of the road with a strap, which he attached to the car, after which he took the car out of gear. This is how he hanged himself.
Multiple teams of rescuers were dispatched to the scene, but they could do nothing to save the young man’s life. Doctors had to confirm the death.
“On April 2, at 00:10, the Police of the city of Strehaia was informed by a man from the municipality of Motru, county of Gorj regarding the fact that, near the radio broadcasting relay in the town of Grozești, a person was allegedly hanged next to a car.
On the spot, the Streha policemen went and, from the checks carried out, determined that a 34-year-old man from Gorj County had hanged himself with a rope.
Following the examination of the lifeless body, no traces of violence were found, and it was transported to the Forensic Medicine Service in order to perform the necropsy and establish the causes of death. Investigations are continuing under the aspect of committing the crime of manslaughter,” reports IPJ Mehedinți.
The young man was a gambling addict, and a list of several people to whom the man owed debts was found in the car. On the sheet, the amounts he owed were also noted.
