A fire with large emissions of smoke broke out, Monday evening, in the area of Bucharest Noi, and at least 3 explosions took place in a disused building in Sector 1.
UPDATE 21:25 The Mayor of Sector 1 sent that people living in the vicinity of the affected area who need support or accommodation can call the Emergency Service within DGASPC Sector 1. Also, a RO-Alert message was issued to warn the population in the area.
“We have several crews of the Local Police in the area of the fire in the north of the Capital, we support the teams of firefighters and the Road Brigade. Firefighting vehicles with water and foam had a harder time entering the narrow streets because they are areas where construction has been chaotic,” the mayor of Sector 1, Clotilde Armand, said on Monday evening, according to News.ro.
It announces that it has requested checks from the Urbanism department regarding the two fires that occurred on Monday in Sector 1.
To inform and warn the population in the area, a message was sent through the RO-Alert system.
UPDATE 20:48 Firefighters intervene with a total of 15 fire engines, requiring a considerable amount of water to control the fire spread over a large area.
“Due to the need for a considerable volume of water, the device was supplemented with five more fire trucks. In total, 15 water and foam extinguishing vehicles were alerted.
At the moment, the fire on Spicului Street is located,” ISU reported.

According to ISU, the deflagration involved the roof of a disused building of approximately 650 square meters, on Strada Spicului in Sector 1. At least three explosions were reported.
The images captured in the area show a fire of great proportions, with large releases of smoke.
“Due to the large surface on which the fire manifests itself, the device was supplemented with seven more special extinguishing vehicles”, ISU Bucharest Ilfov also transmitted, according to News.ro.
“When the first intervention crews arrived, the roof was burning on an area of approximately 650 square meters. Three special fire trucks with water and foam, an intervention and rescue ladder at height and a SMURD ambulance were alerted”, the ISU also transmitted.
