The lack of specialists also causes the Târgu-Carbunești Emergency Hospital to turn to teleradiology. The medical facility is tendering to conclude a contract with doctors to diagnose remotely.
It estimates a value of almost five million lei. There are two batches: teleradiology for CT investigations and CT interventions on demand.

The hospital in Târgu-Carbunești was targeted by several checks after the manager Sorin Mehedințu declared in the public space that the hospital is on the verge of bankruptcy and is overwhelmed by the situation. Teleradiology is also practiced at the Emergency County Hospital in Târgu Jiu. Since there are not enough radiologists, this method is also used. The investigations are done in the hospital, but the diagnosis is made remotely by specialist doctors.
This month, for example, at the County Hospital, the Radiology guards are not covered for four days, and then teleradiology is used.
