Several localities in the counties of Cluj, Sălaj, Gorj, Vâlcea and Alba are, on Sunday afternoon, under Code Yellow nowcasting warnings for rain, electrical discharges, wind intensifications and small hail.
The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued a Code Yellow nowcasting warning of electrical discharges, small hail, showers that will locally accumulate (over) 15…20 l/m2 and wind intensifications, valid until 2:30 p.m.
Several localities in Cluj county are targeted (Turda, Câmpia Turzii, Viişoara, Mihai Viteazu, Iara, Luna, Moldoveneşti, Călăraşi, Băişoara, Petreştii de Jos, Săndulesti, Ciurila, Beliş).
Another Yellow Code targeting, locally, showers that will accumulate over 20…25 l/m2, electrical discharges, wind intensifications and small hail is in force, also until 2:30 p.m., in Sălaj counties (Almaşu, Românaşi , Buciumi, Cuzăplac, Sânmihaiu Almaşului, Fildu de Jos, Agrij, Zimbor, Treznea) and Cluj (Huedin, Aghireşu, Baciu, Poieni, Gilău, Floreşti, Săvădisla, Căpușu Mare, Călățele, Negreni, Gârbău, Sânpaul, Măguri-Răcătău, Mănăstireni, Petreştii de Jos, Mărgău, Sâncraiu, Săcuieu, Mărişel, Ciucea, Rişca, Izvoru Crişului, Ciurila, Tureni, Beliş, Valea Ierii).
The mountain area of Gorj and Vâlcea counties is also under Yellow Code warning of local showers that will accumulate 20…25 l/m2, electrical discharges, wind intensifications and small hail, until 3:00 p.m. The yellow code concerns localities in Gorj (Padeş) and Vâlcea (Călimăneşti, Brezoi, Perişani, Câineni, Băile Olăneşti, Boișoara, Voineasa, Malaia, Racoviţa, Titesti).
Also until 15:00, areas in Alba county (Aiud, Blaj, Ocna Mureş, Teiuş, Ighiu, Unirea, Jidvei, Galda de Jos, Şona, Mihalţ, Valea Lungă, Lopadea Noua, Cetatea de Balta, Stremţ, Sâncel, Sântimbru, Lunca Mureşului, Mirăslau, Bucerdea Grânoasă, Berghin, Fărau, Noşlac, Crăciunelu de Jos, Cricău, Livezile, Cergău, Roşia de Secaș, Hopârta, Rădeşti, Ohaba, Cenade).
