Polestar, the Swedish electric car manufacturer, has entered the mobile device market by launching the Polestar Phone, a smartphone designed specifically for electric car owners. The move comes in a context where giants like Xiaomi and Huawei are also expanding their influence in the electric vehicle sector.
Initially launched in the Chinese market, Polestar Phone aims to strengthen the brand’s presence in a highly competitive market, where dominance is won not only through quality products, but also through an integrated ecosystem of services and applications.

What features does the new smartphone offer?
The Polestar Phone is described by the manufacturer as an “AI-designed flagship”, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, suggesting that it offers advanced features, although specific details related to AI capabilities are still limited. Common features with other top devices are mentioned, such as AI-assisted image editing and Circle to Search functionality.
The smartphone impresses with a 6.7-inch screen, 21:9 aspect ratio and 1250 nits brightness. The photo part is provided by a three-camera setup, including a 50MP main sensor with optical stabilization, a 13MP ultrawide and a 10MP telephoto. The design of the device seems to be inspired by previous models from Sony and Samsung, including a unique ring for the LED flash.
Although the launch took place in China, there is no clear information about the availability of the Polestar Phone in European markets, where Polestar has a well-established presence, especially in the Nordic countries.
