The storms accompanied by hail descended on Romania. Meteorologists in the neighboring country issued orange and yellow codes. The bad weather started yesterday. From noon to evening, when people were going home from barbecues or relatives, it rained heavily, so there were floods, many cars were washed away.

In several areas of Romania, the first day of Easter also brought bad weather. An orange code was in force in the north of Mehedinți county. In several localities, hail fell for minutes.

In Prahova county, 40 liters per square meter fell from the sky, and the sky was furrowed by lightning. A RO-Alert message warned people to take shelter. Three cars were swept away by the flood. Fortunately, there were no victims.

The drivers on the Bucharest-Pitesti Highway woke up under a curtain of water, mixed with hail. The road turned into a stream, so drive cautiously, on the roads.

Torrential rains with hail were recorded in several areas of the neighboring country. The Romanian Meteorological Administration issued last night orange and yellow hail codes, and the authorities – RO-Alert messages.
