The Prahova Court rejected the appeal filed by the PSD regarding the candidacy of Iulian Dumitrescu to the County Council

Iulian Dumitrescu can run for the presidency of the Prahova County Council from the PNL. This is what the Prahova Court decided, which rejected the appeal filed by PSD Prahova.

PSD Prahova contested at the Prahova Court the candidacy of Iulian Dumitrescu, from the PNL, for the position of president of the Prahova County Council in the local elections of June 9.

The decision is not final, and can be appealed to the Ploiești Court of Appeal.

The solution in short: Rejects the application with the object of “challenge to the electoral law”, formulated by the petitioner Social Democratic Party-Prahova County Organization against Decision no. 42/26.04.2024 issued by the Electoral Office of County Constituency no. 31 Prahova, as unfounded. Admits the main intervention request formulated by the intervener Iulian Dumitrescu in opposition to the petitioner Social Democratic Party-Prahova County Organization. Maintains Decision no. 42/26.04.2024 issued by the Electoral Office of County Constituency no. 31 Prahova.

We remind you that another approach of PSD Prahova regarding the candidacies of PNL members in the June 9 elections was rejected by the County Electoral Office.
