UVT team, prizes at the National University Swimming Championship | TIMPOLIS

The team of the West University of Timișoara participated in the National University Swimming Championship, held in Bacău, between April 26-27, where 90 students from 15 universities were enrolled.

The team of the Western University of Timișoara was composed of students Roberta Baciunafrom the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Lavinia Mihocfrom the Faculty of Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Letitia Motoșfrom the Faculty of Law and Administrative Sciences, Andreea Hornea, Albert Cojanu, Bogdan Checicheș, Rareș Tănasie and Radu Vaipan, all from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports. The batch was coordinated by university lecturers Ionut Pîrjol and Marcel Răsădean.

UVT students achieved the following places on the podium:

2nd place: Rareș Tănasie – men’s 100 m freestyle;

3rd place: Letitia Motoș – 100 m female butterfly;

3rd place: Bogdan Checicheș – men’s 100 m butterfly;

3rd place: Albert Cojanu – men’s 100 m backstroke;

3rd place: Men’s 4 x 50m medley relay;

3rd Place: Women’s 4 x 50m Medley Relay.

In the general ranking, the team of the West University of Timișoara ranked fourth.
