The City Hall of Constanța announces that it grants emergency aid to families and single people in situations of socio-economic and medical vulnerability, through the General Directorate of Social Assistance.

According to the provisions of HCL no. 491/2023 regarding the approval of the conditions and criteria for granting emergency aid from the local budget, Constanța City Hall grants emergency aid to families and single persons who have their domicile or residence in Constanța, whose net monthly income is lower than the expenses necessary to overcome the situation for which help is requested.

Families or single individuals who are in one or more of the following socio-economic vulnerability situations that can lead to the risk of social exclusion benefit from these aids: they have serious health problems; have been evicted/are at imminent risk of evicting; a person from the family receiving social assistance or from a family with low income who did not receive death benefit from another institution has died; have children who attend school courses, adult students or students, in order to: pay school fees and/or other expenses caused by attending an educational institution, purchase supplies and/or clothing for them or pay the expenses caused by participating in a certain contest or at the awarding ceremony of a won prize; they live in conditions unsuitable for decent living, in degraded houses as a result of extreme poverty and require support to improve living conditions, to repair housing and to connect to water and electricity networks, or are homeless; are in situations of necessity as a result of the destruction of immovable and movable property caused by fires/floods and, due to the fact that they have incomes lower than the monthly expenses of strict necessity and are not financially supported by other family members, they cannot fix it from their own sources the damage caused.

Last year, 37 people from Constanta benefited from support, and this year, 15 people requested help.
