The situation is getting worse in Slănic Prahova, where a huge crater appeared in the city, after the ground broke for reasons still unknown. The authorities are monitoring the area and taking measurements, while the locals are desperate, fearing that their homes will be swallowed by the land that has taken to the valley.

“In the continuation of the public communication regarding the emergency situation in the town of Slănic, Prahova county, we specify that following the measurements carried out this morning, it was found that the subsidence of the land increased by approximately 20 cm.

We mention that up to this moment, 42 people have been evacuated from the buildings in the vicinity, and through the care of the local public administration, two families have been sheltered at economic operators within the locality.

The situation is continuously monitored and specialized personnel contracted by Slănic City Hall carry out measurements in order to transmit them to the technical expert in the field of Af (Mechanical Resistance and Stability of the Foundation Ground of Constructions and Earth Masses)”, states DSU on Friday, according to stiripesource.ro.
