Lando Norris (McLaren) won the first victory of his career in Formula 1 on Sunday at the Miami Grand Prix. The British driver received many congratulations, including from Donald Trump, the former president of the United States and candidate for the next elections.

“He saw me and came to congratulate me. He told me it was my lucky charm (before the start, the former US president visited the McLaren stand). I don’t know if he will come to any more races,” said Norris.

Lando Norris was also congratulated by Max Verstappen, the triple reigning world champion and current championship leader, who finished second in Miami. “It’s been a long time (Norris had already been on the podium 15 times before winning a GP) and I’m very happy to have been beaten by Lando today (Sunday). He really deserved it,” said the Dutch driver.
