There is a food alert in Romania! 19 hazardous substances have been detected in supermarket tomatoes from Turkey. Here’s what cities they’ve been found in and what customers who bought them should do. Authorities have issued several warnings.

Romanians are in increasing danger, due to food infected with substances and bacteria. Tomatoes have recently been found to contain 19 dangerous substances that endanger human life. They came from Turkey and were put on sale in several stores in Romania.

Tomatoes infected with 19 hazardous substances were found

ANPC carried out checks in several markets and stores in Romania. Tomatoes from Turkey were found to contain 19 hazardous substances and those from Italy contained 13 harmful substances.

The inspectors took over several vegetables and fruits for sale, which they tested in the laboratory, and thus the existence of these substances was confirmed. Furthermore, it has also been shown that several fruits, such as strawberries from Greece, contain pesticides.

Strawberries have been withdrawn from sale in many stores in Romania since March 26, when these substances were discovered.

Meat found to contain Salmonella

A day ago, the authorities sent a new alert to stores in Romania. Chicken meat has been found to contain Salmonella.

This was discovered in stores in Vrancea, Bucharest and Ilfov. The meat was tested in the laboratory and the presence of these substances was confirmed.

“A first part of the results of these analyzes reveals the following aspects:

– the samples taken in Vrancea county, from chicken organs from Agricola International SA, sold in the Lidl store in Focșani, were confirmed with Salmonella Infantis
– samples taken in the Penny warehouse in Ștefăneștii de Jos commune, Ilfov county, from “Hanul Boieresc” brand chicken and chicken organs, produced by Vanbet SRL, were confirmed with Salmonella Infantis and Salmonella Enteritidis
– samples taken in the Penny Colentina store, in sector 2 of the Capital, from “Hanul Boieresc” brand chicken, produced by Vanbet SRL, were confirmed with Salmonella Infantis and Salmonella Enteritidis
– samples taken in the Penny Bucharesti Noi store, in sector 1 of the Capital, from “Hanul Boieresc” brand chicken, produced by Vanbet SRL, were confirmed with Salmonella
– samples taken in the Metro Băneasa store, in sector 1 of the Capital, from “Coco Rico” brand chicken, produced by Aaylex SRL, were confirmed with Salmonella
– samples taken in the Metro Băneasa store, in sector 1 of the Capital, from chicken meat, produced by Agricola International SRL, were confirmed with Salmonella”
