Today, ePitești comes with new information exclusively about what will happen to the emblematic building in the central area of the city.
Taking into account the enormous interest shown in the public space by the citizens of Pitesti and beyond, we went straight to the “grass”.
An ePitești editor got in touch with Doru Pavel.
It is about one of the owners of the building on the list of historical monuments, where Zara operated until recently.
Exclusive, “behind the scenes” details
And I miss Pavel spoke to us exclusively about the subject.
“A new tenant will come! Not yet (no has been rented), but it’s almost ready.
In a few days, or a month, or two, or three, someone will come and that’s it!
We had a lot of options, but a lot of them were frivolous,” Doru Pavel tells us.
“No one compares to Zara!”
Doru Pavel also states for ePitești that he regrets ending the collaboration with Zara.
However, the decision would not have belonged to the representatives of the local store.
Everything was discussed at a high level. Apparently, the Zara company signed a contract with Argeș Mall for about a year.

“No one compares to Zara, that’s the point. If they left, it’s their problem, I got along with them for 13 years. I made them all-all their desires. But they received from Spain to go to the mall (Argeș Mall).
They left!
We had a tremendously good collaboration with Zara. That’s the bottom line. They are a company that you really won’t find another 100 years from now.
But if that was the case… I heard that it was also written that we asked them, that… we asked them very nicely to stay, but they have no decision-making power.
They signed the contract with the mall for a year, but did not want to say. They didn’t tell me that either, we were together for 13 years.
From now on, I also clarified.
Zara is an extraordinarily civilized, powerful company. And which I regret. But I’m left with only regret.
I can’t stay with the building like this, paying tax on the empty building.”
