“Encounter with History” – Cultural project organized at the Vaslui County Museum

The Faculty of History of “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University Iași organizes in partnership with the County Museum “Ștefan cel Mare” Vaslui the event “Meeting with History”.

Thus, on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., in the Art room of the “Ștefan cel Mare” County Museum in Vaslui, an interactive workshop will take place, where students from Vaslui will have the opportunity to get closer to the past and actively participate in the knowledge ways of studying different historical periods.

During the workshop, the students of the Faculty of History will give presentations in which the following topics will be addressed: Maria-Cristina Ciobanu – Discover the secrets of an ancient craft: clay modeling workshop of prehistoric artefacts; Mălina-Andreea Libiţ – Vasile Pârvan and the archaeological research in Dobrogea; Vlad Lungu – Romanian society at the end of the 19th century in the view of foreign diplomats accredited in Bucharest; Andreea Ioana Ursulescu – The role of women in international relations. The case of Elena Văcărescu.

“The “Meeting with History” project carried out by the Faculty of History of “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University Iași, initiated by Prof. Univ. Dr. Lucrețiu Ion Bîrliba, will be coordinated by Andrei Asăndulesei, associate teaching staff of the faculty. On behalf of the Vaslui County Museum, the cultural project will be coordinated by Prof. Dr. Ramona-Maria Mocanu, the manager of the Vaslui museum”said the organizers of the event.
