More than 120 traffic participants who did not respect the traffic laws, sanctioned by the traffic policemen in action, in the last 24 hours.

On April 25, traffic and public order police officers from the Bihor County Police Inspectorate continued actions on Bihor roads, to increase road safety, to combat driving vehicles by people under the influence of alcoholic beverages or drugs, driving at excessive or inappropriate speed, irregular overtaking and, in general, the causes of road accidents.

As a result of the violations found in traffic on Bihor’s roads, in the last 24 hours, 121 contravention sanctions were applied, with fines in the amount of 59,895 lei. At the same time, as a complementary measure, for committing acts that lead to the suspension of the exercise of the right to drive vehicles on public roads, the police detained six driving licenses and three registration certificates.

Of the total sanctions applied, 74 were for exceeding the legal speed limits, 28 for not complying with the legal provisions regarding wearing a seat belt, three were for using a mobile phone at the wheel without a “hands-free” type system, one sanction was for driving under the influence of alcohol, another for lack of ITP, and 14 sanctions were applied for other violations of the road traffic regime.

On April 25, at 4:20 p.m., on DX16, outside the municipality of Oradea, Bihor county, the policemen of the Bihor Road Service – National and European Roads Office spotted a 46-year-old man from Hungary in traffic while he was driving a car , with a speed of 183 km/h, recorded by radar, in the area with a speed limit of 120 km/h.

Also, on April 25, at 6:46 p.m., on DN1Y, outside the municipality of Oradea, Bihor county, the police officers of the Bihor Road Service – National and European Roads Office detected a 25-year-old man from Oradea in traffic while who was driving a car with a speed of 152 km/h, recorded by radar, in the area with a speed limit of 90 km/h.

Drivers who have exceeded the legal speed limits by 63 and 62 km/h, respectively, they were penalized with 9-20 fine points and with the suspension of the right to drive vehicles on public roads for 90 days.

Also, on April 25, at 5:29 p.m., on DN1Y, outside the municipality of Oradea, the policemen of the Bihor Road Service – National and European Roads Bureau detected a 46-year-old man in traffic, from Paleu commune, Bihor county, while who was driving a car with a speed of 169 km/h, registered by radar, in the area with a speed limit of 90 km/h.

The driver who exceeded the legal speed limit by 79 km/h and was penalized as a contravention with 9-20 fine points and with the suspension of the right to drive vehicles on public roads for 120 days, issuing a certificate without the right to drive.
