A road accident took place, Wednesday afternoon, on the bypass route of the city of Drobeta-Turnu Severin. A car and a car collided. The Mehedin firemen intervened to manage the accident. A man was trapped in the car, but law enforcement officers got him out and handed him over to medics.
“This afternoon, three crews from the Drobeta Turnu Severin Fire Department intervened, with an extrication truck, a fire truck and a SMURD ambulance, to a road accident on the bypass of the Drobeta Turnu Severin municipality. A crew of the County Ambulance Service was also mobilized to the scene of the event. Two vehicles were involved in the accident: a concrete truck and a car. When the rescuers arrived, a person was stuck in the car and the intervention of the extrication crew was needed to extract him. With the help of the accessories provided, the firefighters extricated the victim, a man in a state of consciousness, who they handed over to the SAJ crew”reports ISU Mehedinți.
The law enforcement officers from Mehedin also provided fire protection measures at the event site.
