Complications arose in the case of actor Florin Piersic who, until yesterday, seemed to be well, stable and almost led us all to believe that he would be discharged soon. His health would have worsened and he would need to be transferred to a hospital in Vienna.
The suspicion circulated in the press today that the master contracted a nosocomial infection from the medical unit in Cluj. However, the doctors at the Cluj Military Hospital denied this informationaccording to Capital.
“Considering the information that appeared in the public space and to clarify the aspects related to the medical assistance given to the actor Florin Piersic in our hospital, we are communicating the following:
The actor Florin Piersic did not contact any nosocomial infection during his hospitalization in our hospital;
He was treated for the complex pathology for which he went to the hospital;
The actor and his family have requested that no medical information be provided and wishes to preserve privacy,” the Military Hospital in Cluj-Napoca said.
Why he has to get to Vienna
Years ago, doctor Horia Roșianu implanted Florin Piersic with a pacemaker to help regulate the heart’s rhythm. In fact, he would be the only specialist in Romania who has the necessary skills to remove such a device. But at the moment it seems that he is not in the country and as such is not available. The great actor would have required this procedure because the infection in the knee would have spread to the heart and would have been located at the two electrodes of the pacemaker.
Thus, the doctors would have classified the medical situation of Florin Piersic in “maximum emergency regime”, according to the latest information.
