An INSCOP survey carried out in April on voting intentions in local council elections shows a “much more balanced ratio” between PSD and PNL. The social democrats register a slight decrease and the liberals increase, but slightly compared to last month. The poll shows a significant drop in voting interest for AUR.

PSD-PNL balance of forces, AUR falling

An INSCOP survey on the intention to vote in the June 9 local elections, carried out in April, shows that PSD is credited with 28.4% of the votes (30.6% in March), PNL with 26.7% (25.6 in March), AUR by 14.4% (17.4% in March), ADU (USR, PMP, Forța Dreptei) by 10.8% (9.8% in March), UDMR by 5.3% (4, 0% in March), SOS Romania with 3.7% (4.3% in March), the AER Alliance with 3.3% (3.1% in March), the Pro Romania Party with 1.9% (2.4 % in March), REPER with 1.9%, PUSL with 1.6%, while a percentage of 1.9% (2.7% in March) indicates another party.

“PSD and PNL have a much more balanced ratio of voting intention for local elections, most likely reflecting the structures of mayors of the two parties. Voting intention for PSD decreases slightly, while for PNL it increases very slightly compared to last month’s measurement.

The cumulative score of PSD and PNL in the local elections is 55%, approximately 9 percent higher than the score for the PSD-PNL Alliance measured in the European Parliament elections. The intention to vote for AUR in local elections also drops significantly, which confirms the tendency of this party registered in terms of voting in European parliamentary elections”said Remus Ștefureac, director of INSCOP.
