At least four people, including a child, were injured in Kharkiv after the Russians attacked the city at dawn with Shahed drones.
Russian forces launched two drone strikes on residential areas of the city and a rocket attack on office buildings.
Igor Terekhov, the mayor of Kharkiv, announced on Telegram that both strikes targeted civilian infrastructure in the Osnovianskyi district.
A two-story office building caught fire as debris from the downed Shahed drone fell.
Firefighters intervene to extinguish the caused fires.
The second largest city in Ukraine, Kharkiv is the target of intense attacks by Moscow. Yesterday morning, a woman died and several people were injured after Russian forces attacked the center of Kharkiv with glide bombs.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, said on Friday, at a meeting with cadets in Khmelnytskyi, a city in western Ukraine, that the war with Russia is entering a new stage, and the Russians are preparing for the expansion of the offensive, reports Ukrainska Pravda.
“We are now facing a new stage of the war. The occupier is preparing for attempts to expand his offensive. And all of us together, all Ukrainians, our soldiers, our state, our partners, must do everything to disrupt the offensive plan of the Russians,” Zelensky said. “We have to prove that the occupier will not be able to achieve their goals under any circumstances, regardless of what they do and how vile they act. Ukraine will continue to win,” the leader from Kiev told the Ukrainian cadets.
