Today, Farul plays away to FCSB, from 8.30 p.m., in the 7th stage of the play-off, in the Football Super League.
The home team can win the title of national champion even with a tie.
If it comes out undefeated from the match with Farul, FCSB will already be able to celebrate winning the championship after nine years of hopes and expectations.
The Bucharest team coached by Elia Charalambous is the leader with 46 points.
The result from the previous stage of the match played in Bănie, CS Universitatea Craiova – CFR Cluj, score 0-1, gave a direct advantage to the team from Constanta, which is still in 2nd place in the ranking, with 35 points. If they were defeated in the 6th stage, the team from Craiova would have moved to 2nd place, with 37 points.
If they get the victory or even a draw in the match with Farul, FCSB will become the team that won the championship the fastest in the current competitive system, with play-offs and play-outs, introduced in the 2015-2016 season.
Until now, the champions won mathematically after the ninth and tenth stages of the play-off.
