Seven students from the Orthodox Theological Seminary in Alba Iulia won prizes at the national classical language Olympiad. They competed alongside over 300 students from the country.

The national stage of the Olympiad of Classical Languages: Ancient Greek, Latin took place between April 25-28, in Timișoara.

Students from the Orthodox Theological Seminary “Saint Simion Ștefan” Alba Iulia were prepared for the Olympiad by professors Angela Rîșteiu and Gheorghe Popa.

The prizes obtained by the students of the Alba Iulia Seminary

  • Third prize: Codrin Romulus Bercea – 9th grade, Ancient Greek language
  • Third prize: Ioan Țuchel – 10th grade, Ancient Greek language
  • Bronze medal: Andrei Ioan Vlăzan – 9th grade, Ancient Greek language
  • Mention: Ioan Cristian Pîclișan – 9th grade, Ancient Greek
  • Mention: Gabriel Mihai Nicula – 11th grade, Ancient Greek
  • Special prize: Bogdan Ionuț Neag – 10th grade, Ancient Greek language
  • Special prize: Rian Constantin Dan – 11th grade, Ancient Greek language
