The president of the Suceava County Council, Gheorghe Flutur, signed on Wednesday, May 8, a partnership agreement with the National Road Infrastructure Administration Company (CNAIR) for the construction of the Suceava – Gura Humorului high-speed road. The objective of the agreement is the investment in lot 3 of this road, which will connect Suceava with Vatra Dornei, in the section Suceava – Gura Humorului.
The Suceava County Council will be involved in the elaboration of the tender documentation for this section of the northern highway,
which will leave from the area of the ring road of Suceva, Sfântul Ilie, and will pass through the localities of Tolva, Drăgoiesti, Berchișești, Capu Codrului and will reach the belt of Gura Humorului, emphasized Gheorghe Flutur. “I proceeded in the same way for the bypass of the city of Gura Humorului and I gained a lot of time, about 2 years. Now, at the end of the month, we are still waiting for the execution works of the Suceava section to Gura Humorului to be auctioned, and because we want to speed up these works, the Suceava County Council will continue to get involved in these projects”, declared Flutur.
He highlighted that in its current mandate, 2020-2024, the Suceava County Council was actively involved in partnerships with the Ministry of Transport for various projects, such as the Suceava-Botoșani expressway, the Gura Humorului bypass, the road parallel to the Ukrainian border, Vicovu de Sus-Climăuți, the A7 highway and now the section of the northern Suceava-Gura Humorului highway.
“This involvement also means responsibility, but also the shortening of waiting periods and the guarantee that things will happen”, Flutur emphasized.
