In the last few days, some of the county agricultural directorates issued addresses announcing to farmers that they have the obligation to submit the application for Ukraine aid to register on an online platform where, periodically, they fill in the requested information. One of the DAJs that have confused farmers is the one from Galati, which invokes in an address, as the legal basis of the information, the Emergency Ordinance 13/28.02.2024 regarding the establishment of this aid.

The information released by the agricultural directorates was also disseminated on social networks.

Today, the Minister of Agriculture sent an address to the county agricultural directorates in which he emphasizes that farmers do not have this obligation to register on the respective platform. So, what the county agricultural directorates said is not valid. In other words, it is disinformation originating from state institutions.

“Considering the information circulated in the online environment, regarding the obligation of agricultural producers to be registered in the “Integrated Management and Monitoring Information System” platform, in order to ensure the traceability of tomato production (SIMM) at the time of submitting the application for granting support, MADR makes the following clarifications:

All files submitted and to be submitted, until May 10, 2024, for the granting of state aid for the partial compensation of losses to the tomato crop in protected areas, in the context of the crisis caused by Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, are eligible without being registered in the Integrated Management and Monitoring Information System (SIMM) platform.

In this sense, on Monday, April 1, 2024, a circular was issued by the central apparatus of MADR to the attention of all the coordinators of agricultural departments in the country, for the correct information of potential beneficiaries,” states the Ministry of Agriculture, in a statement sent Agroinfo.
