The 6-year-old child is in the custody of the Romanian authorities in Germany and will arrive tonight.
“I am very glad that we were able to complete this operation in such a short time. I also thank the German authorities for the collaboration and for the quick repatriation,” said Natalia Intotero, on CNN’s Antena3.
A secretary of state from Romania accompanies the minor to the residence in Romania.
“Secretary of State Rareș Petru arrived in Germany during the morning, together with the representatives of the Romanian Consulate in Munich. He went to the locality where the 6-year-old boy from Gorj county was cared for by the social workers. They had a meeting with those in Germany who agreed to repatriate the child as soon as possible. Colleagues from DGASPC have also already arrived in Germany. The child was taken over by the Romanian authorities. He is going to the Romanian Consulate in Munich to finalize the last documents for the trip home”, stated the Minister of the Family, Natalia Intotero, on Antena3 CNN.
