Emanuel Oproiu, general director of the National Agency for Housing, submitted his candidacy for the position of president of the Olt County Council (CJ). The Liberals also submitted to the County Electoral Office the list of candidates for the mandates of county councilors.

Secretary General of PNL Olt, Ionel Emanuel Oproiu, stated that he wants the county to become a modern and competitive one.

“By submitting the candidacy for the position of President of the Olt County Council, I enter the electoral competition with the determination of a man who believes that he has the team, experience, means and vision necessary for the development of Olt County.

I believe that after years of decisions the PSD brand is the time for a change, it is the time for the right people, who know very well the problems and priorities of this county. Surely these people are part of the National Liberal Party team. My main objectives in this candidacy are related to economic development, improving infrastructure, encouraging investment and promoting local culture and traditions.

I want Olt to become a modern, competitive and attractive county for all those who live here and for those who want to visit us.

But my goals cannot be achieved by myself alone. I have the National Liberal Party team with me and I also need your support, your ideas and suggestions, your energy and desire to contribute to the development of our county.

During the campaign we will meet in all communities, find solutions together and bring them to life. I want us to remove the barriers between us and be constructive in finding solutions to transform the county into a place where every citizen feels valued, respected and protected.

I have gone through many stages in my career and accumulated experience in public administration, collaboration with different institutions and development of sustainable projects.

Through my candidacy, I undertake to be a reliable and dedicated partner to the community and I am absolutely convinced that in the next 4 years we will know how to run an administration in support of the residents of Olt county”, declared Emanuel Oproiu.

For his part, the president of PNL Olt, deputy Gigel Ştirbu, said: “After 34 years in which Olt county was led by a pesedist octopus, I think that, this year, Olt county has a chance. After 34 years, Olt county has become a leader, one of the counties with the most social assistance. 34 years ago, Olt county was one of the most industrialized counties in Romania. If it took 34 years for this county to become a ruin, I guarantee you that on this day the people of Olten must understand that they are being offered a chance. This octopus of corruption, this octopus of institutionalized criminality, I believe that starting today it will disappear in Olt county”.
On the other hand, Știrbu declared, for Agerpres, that in the local elections of June 9, the liberals have for the first time complete candidacies in all localities in the county.

“Today I submitted my candidacy to the County Council, a few days ago I submitted Mario De Mezzo’s candidacy to Slatina City Hall. At this moment, we have covered the entire county with candidacies, in all localities, in all electoral constituencies. It is the first time that PNL Olt submits complete candidacies for each locality. (…) I believe that, in 2024, the people of Olt will make a decision regarding the future and will vote for the liberal offer for the leadership of the county”, declared Gigel Ştirbu, on Sunday, after submitting the candidacies of the party representatives for the Olt County Council.

PNL President Olt specified that most of the candidacies of PNL representatives have already been submitted to the electoral constituencies in the county.
