A Romanian woman toured a supermarket in Switzerland, stating the prices of the most common products. The woman said that the minimum wage for one hour of work in Switzerland is 122.32 RON. The Romanian published the video on TikTok, managing to attract the attention of her compatriots.

The Romanian woman showed that at a supermarket in Switzerland, 10 eggs cost 40 lei, organic milk costs 10 lei. 30 lei costs a kg of the cheapest coffee, 18 lei costs a pack of butter and 100 lei costs a chicken. The cheapest Swiss chocolate costs 8 lei.

What are the prices in supermarkets in Switzerland?
“It’s not a cheap country, but I think it makes up for it. Of course, prices are higher than in Germany, but the gross minimum wage is also around 24 francs per hour. Organic milk, 1.95 francs, 10 organic eggs, 7.95 francs, own brand yogurts, 0.60, the butter we like very much, for 200 grams, 3.6 francs. A kg of this coffee is almost 17 francs, a kg of own brand coffee, 6 francs. Beef prices start at 33 francs,” said the Romanian on TikTok, according to observernews.ro.

Meat is expensive in Switzerland, but the woman draws attention to the superior quality.
“A chicken costs 20 francs, but really the quality of the meat here is very good. Of course, if you refer to the offers or to the supermarket’s own brand, then a kilo of chicken is 7.35 francs. It’s very little. 10 kg of sugar on sale, 9 francs. For Swiss chocolate, the lowest price is 1.6 francs,” said the woman.
