Deputy Radu Miruță commented on the situation of the bears brought to Gorj from the Prahova area, after official information appeared in the public space that 7 bears arrived from Sinaia to our county.
“I keep hearing about bears that attack people in the Northern area of Gorj: in Ranca, in Baia de Fier, in Polovragi, in Crasna. The answer came: they brought them here. I grew up there, this situation did not exist and suddenly appeared. Bear to enter the house, to drink the oil holding the bottle like a man, to eat the jam from the jar, as it was at Ranca, I had only read in books at night when I put my boy to sleep.
Well, I say, something must have happened and I used the parliamentary instrument to find out. The answer came: 7 bears from Sinaia were brought to Plovragi, as a measure to combat the attacks in the Prahova area.
I mean, the 7 bears trained with the people in Sinaia generated problems there, and the measure was to bring them to Gorj, to generate problems here as well. With whose consent is the question. With that of the administrator of hunting fund no. 69, Olteț, from 2022.
What can we, the deceived, do? Well, in addition to no longer being a coccineal hood, the law says “extraction by euthanasia or shooting”. So, dear Gorj authorities: after you were tricked into accepting domesticated bears here, instead of complaining in the newspapers, apply the law and eliminate such specimens that cause obvious damage”, said Miruță.
