Cluj-Napoca City Hall sent a point of view regarding the landslide that took place on Uliului street.

On Thursday, April 25, the municipality found that there were cracks and failures in the road on Uliului street near number 90, the first signaling measures being taken and the area under observation – road signs restricting the movement of vehicles on the affected roadway ( descent lane).

At the same time, the City Hall of Cluj-Napoca decided to seal the cracks, under the conditions in which precipitation was indicated. On Friday, April 26, the situation on the ground worsened and the tonnage was limited to a maximum of 2 tons, ensuring the permanence of two crews of the Local Police to ensure the implementation of the necessary measures and inform the citizens.

“From Friday to Saturday, the slide continued, so today, April 27, 2024, the Local Committee for Emergency Situations was convened, where the following measures were established:
1. Closure of car traffic on Uliului Street, on the section affected by landslides;
2. Identification of alternative access routes;
3. Mandating the RADP to intervene for the development of the alternative route, where necessary”, the press release states.

Cluj-Napoca City Hall, together with all competent institutions, continues to monitor the situation and implement the necessary measures.
