Thousands of Târguji residents are outraged after running out of water.
A 65-year-old pipeline broke last night, and APAREGIO Gorj representatives are doing their best to fix this situation.
Since last night, the north of the city has been left without potable water, and the pipe on Ecaterina Teodoroiu failed again, because the same problem happened five years ago.
“The entire pipeline must be emptied. There are 20 thousand people affected. The entire northern part has no water. We can bring them water by tanker if they call us. The pipeline is very old, but it will be replaced by POIM. Right now we are in the bidding phase”, said Romeo Tobă, representative of Aparegio.
The mayor of Târgu Jiu, Marcel Romanescu, requested the resignation of the entire management of APAREGIO Gorj.
“I requested the resignation of the entire management and the responsible factors within the Aparegio company. We’ve had an entire city suffer losses upon losses because an irresponsible society is unwilling to meet standards. The price of water and sewerage for us bargain hunters is far above the quality/price ratio. As other mayors have done, we are preparing a court action, because it is not acceptable for an entire city to suffer”, declared Marcel Laurențiu Romanescu.
