An approximately 50-year-old man drowned in the sea, in the resort of Mamaia, his body being found on Sunday morning, according to News.ro.

The representatives of the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Dobrogea announced that the firefighters were requested to intervene in a drowned person in the Black Sea, in the area in front of the Sulina Hotel in Mamaia.

A water and foam truck, a RIB boat and a SMURD B crew went to the scene.

The drowned person was a man in his 50s who was recovered from the Black Sea.

The police stated that the deceased person has not been identified and they are continuing the investigations in this case.

“On April 28, police officers from the Constanţa Municipal Police-Mamaia Police Station were alerted to the fact that the body of a man was found in the Black Sea. The policemen dispatched to the scene found that the reported cases are confirmed, the deceased person not being identified until this moment. In the case, the investigations are continuing in order to establish the causes of death and to identify the person, as a criminal investigation file has been prepared for the commission of the crime of manslaughter”, the representatives of IPJ Constanța sent.

The lifeless body will be taken to the morgue for the necropsy.
