We’ve all heard about Steve Jobs’ sandals that sold for a huge sum at auction, but today another iconic item has sparked a bidding war. The sum reached up to 190,000 dollars.

A business card signed by Steve Jobs sold at auction for the sum of 181,183 dollars on March 24, at RR Auctions. Estimates say it dates back to 1983 and the item fetches 14 times more than another unsigned Apple business card sold at the same auction. The one that set the record now is just one of the 5 certified business cards of Steve Jobs.

It’s not exactly undamaged: it’s smudged, the print has come off, and there are traces of tape on the back. The business card dates back to when Steve Jobs was a director of Apple’s management committee and was before the launch of the Macintosh computer. At the time, the Cupertino company’s flagship product was the Lisa, the first commercial PC with a graphical interface.

The authentication of the business card was done including at the level of DNA and analysis of Jobs’s signature. A check signed by Jobs was also sold at the same auction, which brought the amount of $176,850.
