The dates of the problem were similar, and in the spring of that year even a large action was organized through which fans could propose new logosso that later they can vote on the new logo in an extensive contest.

It was circulated at that time that Dinamo would be at the mercy of Nicolae Badea and would hold the dog logo only on loan and subject to the team being on the first stage. Relegated in 2022, the red-whites kept the identity they used in the last decades, they were not deprived of the emblem.

“Dinamo-Badea” is not the only entity questioning the future of “Dinamo Red&White“. CS Dinamo, the club of the Ministry of the Interior, located in the third echelon, is on the cards to promote to the second league.

A possible relegation of the club from the first league, corroborated with the promotion of the CS, could cause difficult scenes for the Dynamo fans to digest, a meeting in “B” between two teams called Dinamo.
The new logo had been chosen in 2022
The voting process for Dinamo’s new logo had a winner in May 2022, on club day itself. The fan favourite, the one that got the most votes by far in the Facebook poll, was declared the winner!
It’s the shield-shaped logo with an imposing letter “D” in the middle and gold edges. It was supposed to be stylized, but the whole process got thrown off course because of the relegation that happened then.
The person who designed the logo was a Dynamo supporter based in Ludwigsburg, Germany, near Stuttgart, whom Gazeta managed to interview at that time:
“I’m not a design specialist, I work in the field of industrial automation. I really did not expect that the logo made by me was voted so much, 11 thousand. Wow! I don’t know what makes people vote for her. I tried to make it as simple as possible. Probably, people have imprinted something in their mind and they like the gold color around the logo.
It took me about 4-5 hours to make it. I learned to make logos from playing, I did a lot for the teams I was building to play with my friends on the computer”, explained the respective supporter.

A brief history of Dinamo’s logo
The club’s plan to promote the letter “D” on the logo is an older one, this being the identity under which Dinamo won the most trophies. Especially since all clubs with the name Dinamo, especially from the Eastern Bloc of Europe, had and have the consonant on their emblem. Meanwhile, Dinamo (or Dynamo) also penetrated the United States of America, but also England, South Africa or Zambia.
The current coat of arms of the red and whites has been valid since 2004. From the founding of the group until 1990, the club had three versions of the logo incorporating the letter “D”.
Returning to the coat of arms with the letter “D” in the foreground would mean, from a historical point of view, a return to the most important period in the club’s existence. 20 domestic trophies out of a total of 34 have been achieved with that letter on the shirt.
The greatest continental performances were also ticked off in that period, Dinamo being the first Romanian team to qualify for the CCE semi-finals (1984) and playing a semi-final of the Cup Winners’ Cup (1990). Most of the legends of the “dogs” evolved with “D” on the shirt, from Dinu, Lucescu, Dumitrache, Dudu Georgescu and the Nunweiller brothers, to Rednic, Andone, Mateuț and Lupescu.

Dynamo and the race for origins
The newspaper wrote that, more than a decade ago, Nicolae Badea, the former head of the club, requested a detailed study on the etymology of the word Dinamo. Especially since the red-whites were accused and abused for the communist past. And then they passed the result of “searches” on the old official website of the club.
“Several words in the Greek language found their applicability in the current Orthodox language. One of these is «Dunamis», from which two words «Dinamita» and «Dynamo» are derived. It represents the Greek term for «power, strength, hardness» and refers to an extremely energetic, strong, tough person”, was the conclusion of the “dogs”.
In DEX, next to the word dynamo appears: first element of scholarly composition with the meaning (relating to) force, energy, dynamo.
Dinamo’s record, a chimera
In terms of track record, things are confusing. The record, the coat of arms and the name of the Dinamo club are in the heritage of Nicolae Badea (FC Dinamo).
The League 1 team received the right of use for an indefinite period, when it was bought by Ionuț Negoiță, with one condition: the club should play in League 1. In the past, there were calls for Dinamo from the first league to stop using them.
