Today we are talking about how the four non-fantastic main candidates for the Capital City Hall look like and what the reset of the PSD-PNL alliance means for Nicușor Dan, the refugee candidate, who “has nothing to do.” Then, we remind Klaus Iohannis what luxury means, but especially insensitivity in a public office.
The non-fantastic four for Bucharest
The political drift into which the struggle for the City Hall of the Capital is sinking would be funny, if we watched it from somewhere far away, from a bus that arrives at the second on some impeccable street in the West or from some eternally sunny Asian beach, where the robustness of the urban infrastructure it’s your last concern.
From the streets of Bucharest, where these days there is a joke that the Saharan dust was chosen by the PSD-PNL alliance, and this can be seen on the car and the windows of every Bucharest resident, it should give us something to think about.
The tortured withdrawal of the “doctor, manager and citizen” Cătălin Cîrstoiu, which the PSD and the PNL had to forcefully impose, came only after days of embarrassing procrastination, in which Marcel Ciolacu had ended up praying for the candidate “to come up with explanations”.
