PUSL candidate for the Capital City Hall, Cristian Popescu Piedone, intervened in a program on Antena 3 CNN, where Rareș Hopincă, the prefect of the Capital and the PSD-PNL candidate for the Sector 2 City Hall, was also invited. Piedone wanted to announce him in directly on Hopincă that PUSL will not put up a candidate for the District 2 City Hall and will have his support.
“I want to make an announcement, for the first time: PUSL does not submit a list of candidates to the Sector 2 City Hall. PUSL supports Mr. Prefect Rareș Hopincă for the position of mayor. PUSL will only submit lists of advisors. It is a decision of the PUSL taken as a result of the activity, youth and interactivity with Mr. Rareș Hopincă, who in my absence held the City Hall for me as city manager. I don’t look at the party that supports him, I decided not to run against him, I only go to the Council,” said Piedone, on Antena 3 CNN.

Rareș Hopincă was a guest in the Antena 3 CNN studio and said that he was honored by Cristian Popescu Piedone’s support, but he will be forced to vote for Cătălin Cîrstoiu at the Capital City Hall.
“I am extremely pleasantly surprised by the position of Mayor Piedone. He knows that I appreciate his work very much, moreover, while I worked at the City Hall of Sector 5 there was a project unit, both while I managed them and later when he took them over for you. “I tell you, in the voting booth, many PSD-ists will vote for Piedone. In public they will say what Rareș said, but in the voting booth they will put the stamp on Piedone”, Piedone also declared.
