At the end of February 2024, in the records of the Hunedoara County Employment Agency, there were 7,527 unemployed people (of which 4,117 women), the unemployment rate being 4.83%.
Compared to the previous month, when the unemployment rate was 4.67%, this month this indicator registered an increase of 0.16 pp.
Out of the total of 7,527 people registered in the records of AJOFM Hunedoara, 2,314 were beneficiaries of unemployment allowance, and 5,213 were unemployed without compensation. Regarding the place of residence, 2,736 unemployed people come from the rural area and 4,791 are from the urban area. The unemployed with secondary school education have the highest share in the total number of unemployed registered in the records of the AJOFM Hunedoara 27%, followed by those with high school education 26%, and 15% graduated from vocational education or schools of arts and crafts. The unemployed with no education and primary education level represent 21% of the total number of registered unemployed, those with higher education are 9%, and those with post-secondary education are 2%.
The structure of the registered unemployed according to employability level, determined by profiling, is as follows: 378 people are very difficult to employ, 1,865 are difficult to employ, 4,877 are medium employable, and 407 are easily employable. The placement in an employability category is carried out as a result of the profiling activity of the persons registered in our records.
