8% more missions of the Dolje gendarmes in the first part of the year – Oltenia regional news

The Dolj County Gendarmerie Inspectorate (IJJ) together with the Craiova “Buzeşti Brothers” Mobile Gendarmerie Group presented, on Tuesday, the balance sheet for the first part of this year. Thus, the missions of the gendarmes increased by 8% compared to the first part of last year.

“At the level of Dolj county, we have organized and are carrying out several activities, both in the public space and in the unit. We carried out a tree planting campaign, we are also running a blood donation campaign. During the mentioned period, we carried out several missions for the safety of citizens. We fight the criminal phenomenon. So far we have had 2,800 specific missions, engaging over 8 thousand gendarmes. More towards the year 2023”said Colonel Laurentiu Vânturici, chief inspector of IJJ Dolj.

Regarding the fight against drug trafficking, 18 actions were organized and 13 criminal acts were found. Following the missions carried out by the gendarmes from the various structures, 1419 sanctions were applied in a total amount of approximately 260,135 lei.

“We have organized so far, in three months, we have executed 1,580 missions. Both on the level of public order and the activities of citizens in terms of sports and religious events. I had the support of my colleagues from the police, BCCO and DIICOT. The use and fight against illicit drug trafficking is a priority for us. We are constantly carrying out actions, both independently and actions in support of other institutions that are directly aimed at preventing and combating this phenomenon. During this period, I found 43 crimes in this way. 1,419 crimes were also detected, under the law on violations of public order. 123 acts of a criminal nature, 81 of them independently”said Cosmin Mirea, commander of the “Buzeşti Brothers” Mobile Gendarmerie Group Craiova.
