“Eternity” – Grigore Stan exhibition at the Military Circle

On May 7, 2024, the Foyer Gallery of the National Military Circle in Bucharest opens with the exhibition full of light and color by the painter Grigore Stan.

As usual, the artist from Târgoviste, who has already become familiar with the exhibition spaces of the Military Circle, returns to the public of the capital with his works full of peace and spirituality, so suitable for the Illuminated Week after the Easter holiday.

The exhibition entitled “Eternity” seems dedicated to this post-Paschal Orthodox period, spirituality being a defining feature of the work of Grigore Stan, an artist trained at the school of church painters and icon painters.

It is a painting made with the soul, as a daily need for expression, as an outpouring from the overflow of the heart.

The entire work of Grigore Stan is permeated by a serene joy.

Atmospheric works, nature and portraits, marine or urban landscapes with houses and monuments, all reflect in sunny, vivid and optimistic colors, their author’s love of life and beauty, like a hymn dedicated to Creation.

Many of the paintings depict the birthplaces of Târgoviste, which for the author represent a permanence, an anchoring in the universe, in time and space.

It is about an eternity in “Eternity”, in which we invite you to take part!

The opening will take place on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.

Curator: Univ. Prof. George Paunescu

The exhibition will be open from 7-19 May between 11.00-19.00.

The entry is free.
