Cluj Day | Railway accident in Cluj. A train with 30 passengers hit a truck

An accident occurred, a short time ago, in the area of ​​Jucu, where a truck and a train were involved.

Firefighters from Detachment 1 Cluj-Napoca were requested a few moments ago to intervene in a railway accident that happened in the area of ​​Jucu.

“A truck and a train were involved in the accident, but fortunately there are no victims. There are also about 30 passengers on the train, but from the data received so far none of them require medical attention. They are moving to the scene, for to secure the area, a medium-capacity water and foam truck”, ISU Cluj transmitted.

Also, the medical part will be provided by a crew of the County Ambulance Service.

UPDATE: The Cluj police were notified on Tuesday, April 2, at around 3:15 p.m., about the occurrence of a railway accident between the towns of Jucu and Bonțida, at the level crossing with the railway equipped with acoustic and light signals, involving a truck and a Regio train, which circulate on the Cluj-Oradea route.

“As a result of the collision, only material damage resulted, and the railway traffic was stopped in both directions for the intervention of the crews”, IPJ Cluj reported.

Law enforcement officers are still investigating the scene.
