Ronaldo Nazario will sell the Cruzeiro club

Thus, Ronaldo will give up the club he bought in December 2021. Following a first information provided on Sunday by the Brazilian website O Globo, Sport reported that “Il Fenomeno” would hand over control of the Brazilian club, in which he owns 90% from shares, “during the week”.

The buyer is Pedro Lourenço, a successful entrepreneur in the hypermarket sector, who has already supported the club in recent months, helping to recruit several players.

The team from the state of Minas Gerais was promoted back to the Brazilian Serie A at the end of the 2022 season, but since then they have achieved modest results in the Brasileirao (14th in 2023, Cruzeiro are currently 7th after four rounds).

Although he will retire from the position of president of the club, Ronaldo has not yet said whether he will keep a stake in Cruzeiro or retire completely, writes News.ro.

In total, Ronaldo would receive around 600 million reais (approximately 110 million euros). Part of the amount has already been paid to him in March 2023, the press from Brazil announces.

Ronaldo Nazario is president of the Real Valladolid club (2nd place in LaLiga2, tied with the leader Leganes, with 64 points collected in 37 stages).
