PNL Dâmbovița nominated its candidate for the position of mayor of Dragodana commune. The young county councilor Ionuț Popa will enter the electoral battle on June 9, 2024, for whom age, 33 years, is not a disadvantage, as some are tempted to believe, but an asset, as Ionuț Popa already has sufficient administrative experience, but and politics. In addition, he is hard-working, honest, eager to develop his hometown and familiar with the dynamics of state institutions, thanks to his experience as a parliamentary adviser at the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate of Romania.

“The Dragodana commune needs a change, more involvement, an open dialogue with the people, pragmatism and a long-term vision. I know the problems of the locality, I know the people and their grievances. The position of the commune is a good one, there are opportunities, but until now there has been a lack of involvement. I have the support of the PNL team at the local and county level and I will make every effort not to disappoint”, the young PNL candidate told us.

Ionuț Popa, who is guided in life by the principle of “everything in its own time”, believes that only now has he reached the emotional and professional maturity to be able to run for mayor of his hometown, Dragodana, the locality where he wants to start a family.

“The involvement of young people in administration and politics is a brave and commendable step. Ionuț Popa is one of these young people with initiative. We trust him and we support him for the position of mayor of the Dragodana commune”, stated the president of PNL Dâmbovița – senator Virgil Guran.
