Partially moved to Spain, a famous Romanian was surprised by the prices there: I pay less than in Bucharest

Former international Ioan Andone has bought a house in Marbella, a dream resort in southern Spain on the Mediterranean Sea. He spends a little less than six months a year there, because of the tax laws here, GSP writes.

“I live in Marbella, but I can’t stay there for more than six months, because my tax residency is in Romania. If they stay there, they come with double taxation. And I’m not like Ronaldo and like them… That’s the law in Spain, I can control myself when I give my passport at the airport, at the bank account, so I’m not playing. You can stay for more than 6 months only if you have a work contract or something, to have a business there”, Andone explained to “Prietenii lui Ovidiu”.

The former great player of Dinamo was surprised by the prices in the Peninsula, lower than in Bucharest.

“In Spain, I spend less money than in Bucharest. It’s more expensive here! Sincere! Fees, taxes, electricity… With us, they pay 2,500 lei per month at the house. In Spain, I currently pay 210 euros per two months and I have four bedrooms at home. I have everything there, a lot of consumption: I have refrigerators, air conditioning works, electric heaters. I don’t have gas, instead,” admits the former coach.
