Unirea Slobozia won the League 2 season – The situation on the places that ensure promotion

Unirea Slobozia is mathematically assured of first place at the end of the football League 2 season. The team prepared by Adrian Mihalcea won the derby with Corvinul Hunedoara, score 1-0.

The only goal of the dispute counting for the eighth stage of the League 2 football play-off was achieved by Christ Afalna, in the 39th minute.

The people of Ialomi were sure of promotion in the SuperLiga before the match with Corvinul, finalist in the current edition of the Romanian Cup (they will fight for the trophy against Oțelul Galați on May 15, in Sibiu).

Corvinul is in second place in the ranking, but does not have the right to promotion, although it occupies a place that normally leads to the SuperLigă.

The same situation is valid for CSC Şelimbăr, group in third place (leads to the promotion barrier).

At this moment, Gloria Buzău occupies a place that ensures direct promotion, and Csikszereda for the play-off.
