Metz, too strong for CSM Bucharest

The main scorers of the game were Grijseels 7 goals, Burgaard 6, Valentini 6, for Metz, respectively Neagu 6, for CSM.

The girls trained by Adrian Vasile missed the Final Four tournament that will take place in Budapest, on June 1-2, in the MVM Dome.

We remind you that in the round leg from Bucharest, Metz won, score 27-24.

The team’s objective was missed once again, the presence among the best four teams on the Old Continent being the target set by the management.

The last time CSM Bucharest played in the Final Four was in 2018: it ended the competition in third place (Gyor was champion and HC Vardar in second place).

CSM Bucharest also finished third in the 2016-2017 edition.

The Bucharest group won the European title only once, CSM being champion in 2016.

The system with the Final Four (phase of the competition where the best four teams that play in the semi-finals, finals – small and large) system made its debut in 2013-2014.

FTC Budapest vs Team Esbjerg (25-26 in the round), Vipers vs Gyor (23-30) and SG BBM Bietigheim vs Odense (30-26) are also played in the quarter-finals.

The title champion is Vipers Kristiansand.
