According to the portal Handbollskanalen.sea major handball website in this country, the Höörs HK H 65 team from Sweden filed a complaint with the EHF at the end of a match played on October 16, 2021.

The game in question, in the Champions League preliminaries, was against Serbian side FK Radnički Kragujevac.

The match was refereed by the Romanians Silviu Stănescu and Diana Carmen Ciulei, the Croatian Sinisa Rudic being the observer, and this confrontation was reported as a dubious one.

The match managed by ours was considered suspicious and the complaint was made by the Swedish club itself. They estimated that they had never seen anything like this and the only explanation for them could only be gambling.

What are the two Romanian referees accused of?

The pair of Ciulei – Stănescu made 14 shots from 7 meters for the Serbian team (11 goals out of 23 were scored from 7 meters), following the analysis of a Swedish international referee – the ratio of mistakes would have been 25 to 1 for the Serbian team.

“There were at least 25 mistakes in favor of Radnicki. I’ve never seen anything like it before”said a top referee, according to Handbollskanalen.

That match, the first leg of the double counting for the second round of the Champions League preliminaries, was won by Sârboaice, at home, score 23-22.

The betting scandal is one of proportions in Nordic handball and is presented by TV2 Denmark. The main characters are the Croats Grubica / Milosevic and the Macedonians Nachevski / Nikolov suspected of illegal betting and influencing the results.

Is there a club fear of the EHF?
