Borussia, who also won the away leg by the same scoreline, will play their third Champions League final on June 1 in London against the winner of the clash between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, who will play at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night after finishing undecided in the first leg (2-2).
“It is a magnificent evening for our club and I am very proud of my team, the staff and the whole club. At the end of the two games, we deserved to qualify for the final, having won twice against such a team and managed to keep two clean sheets against such a force“, emphasized Edin Terzic at the press conference held at the end of the game at the Parc des Princes.
Last week, at home, Niclas Fullkrug brought victory to the Germans, and in Tuesday’s match it was the defender Mats Hummels who sent the ball into the net, for the fifth time in his career in the Champions League, over eleven years after the previous one succeeded in this competition.
Edin Terzic also admitted that his team had a chance when the shots of the Parisians hit the goalposts (six in total, in the two legs), but now they dream of an even more important goal, winning the Champions League trophy, for the second time in the history of the Dortmund club.
“It will be a very short night. We are going to celebrate, it is great that we could qualify for the final, but we want to achieve something even bigger and there is still a long way to go. Regardless of our opponent, the final will be an extremely difficult match, but there is only one match left, and in a match anything is possible, we proved it“, concluded Terzic.

Borussia Dortmund qualified for the Champions League final after defeating PSG 1-0 in Paris, thanks to the goal scored by defender Mats Hummels in the second half (50). The Germans prevailed with the same score in the round match, from Dortmund.
