The National Liberal Party, Gorj branch, concluded a collaboration agreement with the Pro Europe Roma Party in the presence of the party’s president, Nicolae Păun. The announcement was made by the president of PNL Gorj, senator Ion Iordache, at the meeting at the headquarters of PNL Gorj, where the local leader of the Roma, Nelu Pavel, was also present.
The president of the Gorj National Liberal Party announced, on Friday afternoon, that his political formation will have a collaboration protocol with the Pro Europe Roma Party, which is led in Gorj by Nelu Pavel, known until now as a supporter of the social democrats.
“We made the decision to conclude a collaboration agreement, for this period and for the period after the elections, through which we want the National Liberal Party and the Pro-Europe Roma Party to collaborate in the interest of the citizens of the county. The interest of the Roma Party is to better represent the interests of the communities in the county. We all want to have even greater attention to the needs of the Roma communities and to reach a better integration of them in the community. We want to break this barrier and these borders that currently exist. We decided to collaborate and support the PNL candidates together and to prepare joint projects, projects that take into account, where there are Roma communities and these communities and that they are no longer marginalized, when we talk about financing for the development of the community”, he declared senator Ion Iordache on the occasion of signing this protocol.
Present at the event, the leader of the Gorj Roma Party, Nelu Pavel, stated that he chose to collaborate with the PNL because he would not have found any form of dialogue with the president of the PSD Gorj, Mihai Weber. He claims that he would have brought the Social Democrats about 4,000 votes in the last election campaign.
