Recently, no less than 7 trees have disappeared from Liviu Rebreanu Pedestrian Street, some of them in good condition, judging by the look of the root.
The workers of the Directorate of Public Services did not miss the little park near the Orthodox Archdiocese, where the trees provided the much-sought-after shade by the people of Bistri in the summer. At least two trees were downed there.
Why these trees were put to the ground is not known. The head of the Public Services Directorate, Cristian Țetcu, a convinced environmentalist until he was employed at the Bistrita City Hall, could not be contacted to talk about these works.
No tree cutting appears in this week’s public works planning. The only works related to green spaces scheduled for the current week are:
- Intervention to secure trees in public space
- Mowing green spaces
- Elagaj to the tree: B-dul. Decebal
- Washed banks: Central Square
- Mobilized soil planters permanently placed on the public domain
- Sanitized green spaces in the component localities: Ghinda
- Sanitized playgrounds
- Unforeseen works
