The Prefecture moves to Permise

The employees of the Prefect’s Institution will also, in a few months, leave the offices in the Administrative Palace. This is because the institution’s headquarters will enter an extensive rehabilitation program, which already started at the beginning of April.

According to prefect Sorin Cornilă, the temporary headquarters will be about 300 meters away from the Administrative Palace, i.e. in the building that currently houses the Community Public Service Driving Permits and Vehicle Registration Regime (SPCRPCÎV). “This option was reached precisely because we do not have money to pay rent (no – SPCRPCÎV appears as a structure within the Prefect’s Institution). We agreed to take over the top floor. We’re going to squeeze in and hope we can all fit in.” said prefect Sorin Cornilă.

Last month, the employees of the County Council also moved from the Administrative Palace to a temporary headquarters on National Road no. 28A, in a building that once belonged to the former “Moldova” Textile Factories. In this case, however, CJ would have rented the space for a fee. For now, the plenary sessions of the CJ, at least the ordinary ones, will also take place in the Administrative Palace.

This temporary move takes place because the Administrative Palace will be thermally and energetically rehabilitated, the total value of the project being almost 15.5 million lei. The work should be completed by October 2025 at the latest, but it is not excluded that the project will take longer.

The Administrative Palace was commissioned in 1971 and has not been rehabilitated. Now a thermosystem should be made, with the rehabilitation of the thermal installation, the rehabilitation of the electrical installations and the installation of LED lighting fixtures, the installation of a centralized air conditioning and mechanical ventilation system, using heat pumps, the installation of panels for domestic hot water, but and the installation of an integrated energy management system of the Building Management System type.
