No one teaches you what to do with people, they teach you how to give feedback, how to speak in public, etc., but no one teaches you when to listen. I have not heard of a course on how to listen.

“I think that leaders forget one thing, that their role is to get results. Where do the results come from? From behaviors. What is behind the behaviors? Habits. What is behind the habits? Beliefs. What is behind them? The values. And many times we like to look at the beautiful side, but that is the climate. And the climate is like a balloon, give a salary increase measure engagement and what will you see? That it’s up. What happens in three months when the leader has the same behavior and micromanages? The climate is low”, said Marius Ciurariu during the ZF HR Trends 2024 conference: “The future of human resources, under the pressure of transformations.”
