On Tuesday, meteorologists issued a Code Yellow alert for torrential rain, hail and wind in half of the country in Moldova, Muntenia, eastern Transylvania and locally in Maramureş.

Tuesday between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., there will be periods of heightened atmospheric instability that will be manifested by frequent electrical discharges, torrential showers, hail, intensification of wind and storms in Moldova, Muntenia, eastern Transylvania and locally in Maramureş.
In short intervals of time or through accumulation, the water quantities will be 20…25 l/m2 and isolated over 40 l/m2.
Such phenomena will be reported on Tuesday, in limited areas, and in the rest of the country.
In the coming days, the weather will be unstable especially in the western half of the territory.
